How to Improve Landscape Takeoff Accuracy

I am working in construction and recently I focus on outdoor and site works. One thing I find very important is landscape takeoff calculating all materials, plants, hardscape, and labor for outdoor projects before starting. Without good takeoff, we may buy too many or too few items and cost or schedule might become a problem.

I want to ask if anyone here has tips, tools, or simple methods to do landscape takeoff faster and more accurate? Have you used any software or templates for measuring garden beds, pathways, plants, or surface areas?
